Vaccine Politics

The one thing that shocked me when I started research for this piece was just how many Republican Governor’s there are in this country! Anyway, what drove me to look at the data were the evil, condesending comments Jen Psaki vomitted all over a reporter in a recent press briefing when asked about depriving Texas and Florida of much needed monoclonal antibodies as a therapuetic for COVID.

The politics of the Biden Administration related to COVID specifically is like thick, humid air! Psaki commented that the Administration isn’t discriminating politically against Florida and Texas when cutting distribution of the antibodies to those states, but rather it’s an “equity” issue and that Oklahoma should get the same as Florida and Texas. This, despite Florida and Texas having higher vaccination rates for 18-65 year olds than Oklahoma. Florida at 61% of 18-65 year olds, and Texas at 59% while Oklahoma lags at 51%. Oklahoma’s two week rolling average hospitalization rate is 37 per 100,000 while Texas sits at 48 and Florida at 52. Oklahoma’s population is 3.9 Million next to Texas with 29 Million and Florida with 21 Million. These are much bigger States with a clear need over Oklahoma to treat those hospitalized with COVID. And you can’t exactly say these States are not vaccinating at a better rate than they should be – they’re better than Oklahoma if you’re paying attention to the data. Why not pick Kentucky to win the monoclonal anitbody lottery than Oklahoma – Kentucky is hospitalizing 58 per 100,000 – leading the country!

There are much better targets of the Biden ire than Florida and Texas IF, and that’s a big “if”, if you’re truthful about your equity distribution. Which they are not – Biden lies more than Trump ever did and about things that really hurt Americans. Look at the States that are really sucking when it comes to vaccination rates:

Lowest Vaccination Rates for 18-65 Year Olds by State and Governor

Alabama 43% Kay Ivey (R)

North Dakota 47% Doug Burgum (R)

South Carolina 48% Henry McMaster (R)

Tenessee 48% Bill Lee (R)

West Virginia 39% Jim Justice (R)

Wyoming 41% Mark Gordon (R)

Highest Vaccintation rates for 18-65 Year Olds by State and Governor

Connecticut 75% Ned Lamont (D)

Maine 72% Janet Mills (D)

Maryland 71% Larry Hogan (R)

New Jersey 72% Phil Murphy (D)

New York 70% Kathy Hochul (D) formerly the murderer and sexual harrasser in chief, Andrew Cuomo (D)

Rhode Island 72% Daniel McKee (D)

Vermont 72% Phil Scott (R)

Washington 72% Jay Inslee (D)

Texas is giving Biden a lot of problems about the border and they just passed a tough abortion law. So let’s target them. Florida’s DeSantis is likely to be the front runner of the Republican party in 2024, and he’s extremely tough on forcing Floridians into mandates. Easy to see why Biden the Authoritarian is targeting his State.

The lies and authoritarian behaviour of this White House is disgusting. We’re closer now than ever to secession by several states, and I don’t see things getting better. Ever.
