Moxie is Child Abuse!
As a parent, watching this video makes me sick! The creators of this garbage should be prosecuted for child abuse, and all advertisements of this pornography should be cancelled.
You can troll YouTube and other social media sites and be bombarded with ads, and we’ve come to accept it. But recently I researched some political topics and was hit hard with this Moxie crap! It was disgusting to watch the first time I was forced by YouTube to watch it – after ad #3 I completely left YouTube. This ad and this robot is grotesque!
Marketing to parents an AI Robot in replace of actual parenting – holy fucking shit – are you serious? And, Google allows this to be marketed on YouTube?
The ad opens with two extremely tentative parents afraid to approach their completely disconnected son, consumed by digital attention. They feel their solution to reconnect with their child, clearly deprived of human love and affection in favor of a lifetime of electronic babysitting, was to introduce him to an Artificially Intelligent parent called, Moxie.
In the ad the father hops, skips, and jumps to provide books to the boy to read to the AI robot- like, “Oh, I fucked up as a Dad, I better hurry up and give my son these books that my shithead wife put in my hand – as he guiltily stares in desperate contempt, honestly honey I didn’t touch his pee pee in the bathtub, don’t listen to him!”
Mom and Dad are so proud to be extricated from the parenting process in replace of a robot. She comes to find a note in the silverware drawer that says, “I love you mom.” Mom smiles, seemingly excited to have solved her “connection” problems with her son – what she fails to read is the back of the note, which reads, “I can’t wait to bury an ax into the top of you and dad’s head while you sleep.” This, of course, is not in the commercial – however, how can anyone expect this child to develop into anything other than a deviant bi-product of Moxie’s perverse digital influence.
This is gross – and this company should be prosecuted along the same laws of child pornography and exploitation of children.
